Looks like he might be an ancestor of  Samarasinghe Family #3142 Beligam Corale. More research in under way to verify.

Gate Mudaliar Samarasinghe also held the rank of Atapattu Mudaliar (except over the Atapattu of Colombo which was administered by the Colombo Mudaliar SW Illangakoon).

2         Dona Ana Helena de Alwis Gunathilake Samarasinghe Hamine(b approx 1770) (d:1853) + (1786) Don Phillip Gunasekera Seneviratne Mudaliyar (d:1803) (see Seneviratne family tree, 3108), Don Phillip received certificates from Dutch & British Governors. Don Phillip received land in Kalutara Fort, from Governor Van de Graaf as reward for planting cinnamon for the government. Ana Helena de Alwis received 25 Acres from Mahawellawatte, on 1810 by the will of Maria Johanna de Saram (nee Perera),wife of Leander de Saram.

2         Dona Regina de Alwis Gunathilake Samarasinghe Hamine (b approx 1768 ?) + Gabriel Perera Jayawardena Gunathileke (Goonetilleke) Mudaliyar.  + also 2nd husband brother of Gabriel P.J. Gunathileke.  (p.3, 107/108)  Gabriel received a gold medal.  Gabriel had 2 wives. By his 1st marriage he had:

            3.   Harmanus/Hermanis/Harmanis Perera Sameresinhe/Samarasinha Jayewardene/Jayavardhana Modeliar Pasdun and Wallallawitty Korale +  wife Adriana Gertruda Perera born 1786,died 14th August,1871 (her father  Abraham Perera and mother Dona Maria Samarakon;  her grandparents Hettimulle Canahara Mudiyanselage Don Louis Perera Samarawira Goonewardena  Basnaike Mohandiram and Dona Regina  daughter of Don Philip Jayasekera Seneviratna Sudusinha Mohandiram  p.38-39) Harmanis received a  medal for capturing a ring leader of the 1800 rebellion.

    + wife daughter of  Phillipsz Panditharatna Maha Mudaliyar

Frederick North Governor gave this medal to Haramanis Perera Samarasinghe Jayawardena  Mudaliyar of the Pasadun Korale as a reward for his distinguished services rendered to Government in the late rebellion and for having seized a ring leader of the rebels. A.D 1800.The ring leader referred to was named Mohotty, and is said to have been captured at Udawela in Pasdun Korale. Haramanis Mudaliyar’s chair is still preserved at Kekulandola Vihare,to which he dedicated a field.

Education: St. Thomas College, Marischal College, Aberdeen where he became the senior medalist in Pathology and bacteriology. ….He also gained a diploma in mental diseases from the Medico Psychological Association of Great Britain and Ireland. In 1894 Dr. Pieris Siriwardhane graduated as M.B., C.M., after which he had charge as Medical officer of some of the Orkney Islands for a year. He then returned to Aberdeen University. In 1895 he returned to Ceylon, where he became senior House Surgeon of Colombo General Hospital for a year. He then became district medical officer Dikoya, Rakwana, …..etc.   Please see p. 524 Twentieth Century Impressions book.  + Ethel Mildred (2nd daughter of Hon S.C. Obeyesekere M.L.C.).  Residence in Panadura.
