Veerthamulla Gamage Don Fransiscu Senaratne Kumarapperumal (1737-3/12/1801) who was born in 1737 in Kahawatte in the Giruwe Pattu and was the clerk to Don Simon Wijewardene Ranasinghe Tennekoon who introduced him (Don Fransiscu) to the Dutch Governor in Colombo. This information is contained in the Kahawatte Tombu.

He was baptized in the Kollupitiya Milagiriya Church on 1758-2-5 aged 20. He married a Fransina Jasenthu Greru who was the daughter of the Schoolmaster at Milagiriya. She was a teacher.

They had 3 children

1) Dona Cornelia/Gajaman Nona b.1758 bapt.30/7/1959 in Milagiriya (?)

2) Don Luis Senaratne Perumal Wijerama Kumarasinghe

3) Dona Arnolia Perumal who married Don Siemon Guneratne Abeysinghe and had 2 daughters- Dona Fransina and Dona Katrina

Dona Cornelia married a 1) Talpe Merenchige , a Lascoryn who later became Gardiye Arachchi who died circa 1782.

They had 1 son- Juan Alvis

She then married 2) Don Gabriel Siriwardene Vijaya Vimalasekera (who was a Muhandiram) and had 3 children. Don Gabriel died soon after and Gajaman Nona struggled to make ends meet. She died in poverty on 15/12/1814.
