COLOMBO CEYLON. Occupation IN 19th, 89th, 41st REGT.
James 1st appears on Muster 25/9/1813 as a "BOY" 19th Reg of Foot at
Colombo. Appointed Drummer 24/1/1814 Transferred to 89th
25/2/1818, On Muster 25/5/1818 as Drummer promoted to Corp. 7/6/1828,
volunteered to join 41st Reg 21/9/1830. Reverted back to Private on transfer.
Volunteered from 89th 10/9/1830. Regimental No 172 from Oct 1831, promoted Corp
15/9/1832 Reg No 71, from Oct 1835. Promoted Sergeant 5/12/1837, Invalid
24/5/1842 Discharged
He married Emelia Shepherd. Spelling could be Amelia

APOTHECARY.
In October 1880 Charles was pensioned as Apothecary Bengal
He married Caroline Sarah Hawke, daughter of Alfred Hawke & Sarah Davis, 2
Jul 1855 in BANGALORE INDIA. Born 3 Oct 1838 in
MADRAS INDIA. Baptism 21 Nov 1838 in ST MARY MADRAS INDIA.

Sep 1870 in MADRAS INDIA. Baptism 9 Oct 1870 in MADRAS INDIA. Died 19 Apr 1904
in BHAMO BURMA.
