1 John Thomas Goodchild b: in Ireland, in the parish
of St. John Anglican Church, Waterford. He lived in Kandy. He died in 1860. He
was Master Sgt H.M. 37th (North Hampshire) regiment of foot and the records
also confirms that after 4 months of travel reached Ceylon on the 10th day of
March, 1847. He also transferred to the 50th (The Queens Own) regiment of foot
also called the West Kents. This regiment is still in existence + Elizabeth
Muckett of Gosport, England, m:4-Mar-1844 in Gosport (English Naval Port),
Hampshire, England. She died probably in around 1861 or 1862 on her way back to
England
