Oscar George da Silva, born August 5, 1911, son of Claudio Antonio Da Silva and Mary Jane Cornelius; married to Rubina Olga Fernandez; lance corporal, 2nd Battalion, Straits Settlements Volunteer Force (Singapore Volunteer Corps); born, circa 1914; died Tuesday, February 24, 1942 (was actually betrayed by a fellow Eurasian, taken away and executed, by the Japanese Occupation forces, at Changi Beach - see also entry for Ernest Francis Braun, his best friend.), buried Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore.
