- Born on September 22, 1920, in
the Koubbeh Quarter of Tripoli, Lebanon. Died in Koubbeh,
Tripoli, on May 5, 1990.
- Attended the College of the
Christian Brothers of Tripoli, and holds a degree in
Business higher education, and seven French diplomas in
Commercial Sciences from the Academy & Institute of
Business Administration in Paris, France. Also holds a
teaching degree from the Normal School in Lebanon.
- Public speaker in three languages
( French, Arabic, and English ), and a Poet of the French
Language.
- Holder of 52 international
decorations of all degrees: Grand Crosses, Grand Officer
Stars, and Cravats of honor (Commander, Officer). Gold
medals from sixteen academies of Arts, Science, and
Literature of Europe.
- Delegate, Prior, and Grand Prior
of several brotherhood organizations of the United
States, France, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Hong Kong, and
Germany (Munich, and Nuremberg).
- Granted over fifteen "Golden
City Keys", and considered as an Honorary Citizen of
many U.S. cities.
- Listed in the international
directories of Cambridge University, London (UK) , as
well as four international Who's Who books in America,
Europe, and India.
Professional Background

Teacher at the Private and tuition-free schools of
the Lazarite Order in Sibhel, and Aalma, in North
Lebanon. (1937-1941).

Legal Translator to the French, British, and
Australian Allied armies in North Lebanon. Received three
war medals from France, and England, and the Victory
Medal (Commader Degree) from the War Veterans League. (1941-1942).

Joseph Parochial school in Zgarta, North Lebanon.(1943-1944).

Social and Charitable Activities
- Secretary of the Maronite
Charitable Society of Koubbeh, Tripoli (1963 - 1966 ).
Participated in the soliciting donations for the Society
to purchase a Funeral Limousine.
- Administrator of the properties
of the Maronite Church of Haret Es-Sayedh (1965).
Restored old dwellings belonging to the proprties, and
built over 25 stores on the church land property, under
assignment from Bishop Antoun Abed of Tripoli. Built on
the same property, a charitable school (tuition free)
with over 20 teachers, and under the direction of the
Mother Superior of the Sisters of the Holy Family.
- Member of the National Guidance
Committee in North Lebanon (1974-1975).
- Assisted and collected donations
for building the church of St. Simon in Ardeh, Zgarta.
- Participated in many charitable events of the Maronite and the Greek Orthodox communities i. Lebanon.
- Founded the Nahda National School
(1955) by presidential decree. After Lebanon's civil war
of 1975-1977, which destroyed and burnt that school, he
rebuilt, re-furnished, and reopened it . He also added a
Kindergarten division, catering to the underprivileged
students of Koubbeh, Tripoli, of all religions and sects.
In 1985-1986, this school had an enrollment of over 180
students: poor, orphans, and refugees of three civil wars
in Tripoli.
- Founded the Boy and Girl Scouts
of the National Unity at the Nahda School. 1984.
International Activities and Congresses
- Received a Press Card from the
European Press Organization in Brussels, Belgium, with
the title of Correspondent for Lebanon and the Middle
East. 1983.
- Elected Representative to the
Olympic Games of Mexico, Canada, Lagos (Nigeria), and Los
Angeles.
- Represented his excellency
General Daniel Pozsimki, Grand Commander of the Allied
Veterans Organization, at the coronation of His Imperial
Majesty Bokassa the First, of the Republic of Central
Africa.
- Nominated as Senator to the High
Chamber on the International Parliament, and Delegate for
Lebanon. 1985 . Elected Chairman of the First Conference
on Peace in the Middle East of the International
Parliament for Safety and Peace (Headquartered in
Palermo, Italy). 1985.
- Was invited to Nigeria, as the
Guest of Honor of His Royal Highness Sir Dr Bernard O.
Enweremadu, of Imo State, Nigeria, to decorate the Royal
Traditional of the State of Isiala Ngwa (Nigeria). At that
occasion he received a royal decree as an honorary
Nigerian Prince for his services to humanity, education,
and fine arts, for 45 years. 1984.
- High level contacts with and special guest to the Presidency of the Republic of Zaire .

the Protection of Children (Belgium) to decorate His
Excellency Bishop Makarios II, President of Cyprus, with
the Humanitarian Medal.

his Excellency with the official Star and Gravat of Honor
of the Signum Fidei Order of Munich(Germany),
representing the Grand Master of that order. President
Duvalier, in turn, decorated Dr. Dib with the Grand
Officer of the Merit of the Republic of Haiti.

designated as Special Advisor for the Islamic-Christian
