What I am searching for is some way to
locate more information on the following family information: A Dr. Alex
(Alec) BISSET (Bissett, Bissit) was in the British Honduras in the 1950's and
1960's and married a lady from there whose father was a mahogany farmer. Alex was
from Scotland and we think he worked for the British government. He visited with
relatives in Toronto, Canada at least two times, had two sons with red hair and was
probably born circa 1825. On one of his trips to Toronto, he had been attending a
seminar in the U.S. on infectious diseases and had to cut his Toronto visit short to rush
back to Honduras due to a terrible tidal wave?? We think he returned to
Scotland. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of his wife. Any clues you can
provide as to how/where to search would be greatly appreciated. Cheryl Maxwell. 25-Aug-1998

papa, porque ni el sabe! Mis abuelos (parte papa) se llamaban Jose
BOUZA y Esther TREVINO. Mi abuelo nacio en Espana, y mi
abuela en Mexico. Mis otros abuelos de parte de mama se llaman (llamaban) Francisco NUNEZ (RIP) y mi abuela que todavia vive, Teresa
MARTINEZ. Los dos nacidos en Honduras. Me encantaria conocer
mas de mis antesedentes, y ojala Dios los ayude en encontrarlos!

I am seeking information regarding the
family of my grandfather, Joseph Manuel MITCHELL, and his twin brother,
Carlos R. MITCHELL, born 1910 in Tegucigalapa, Honduras. Father was
James M. MITCHELL, possibly of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. Sister
Teresita married a COLEMAN and returned to New Orleans. Information
is that he was associated with a group of American refugees in a casino deal at San Pedro
Sula. Who was James' wife? Some have said he was a physician? Mom said he
owned a pharmacy in Tegucigalpa. Who were his parents? One researcher has
suggested that the Mitchell's came to Honduras from the South as refugees after the civil
war with other Southern families, such as the COLEMAN's and FORREST's.
Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Neale Brown, Oregon, USA. 14-Feb-1999
