New from the WorldGenWeb Project

 We try to keep this page updated with the latest changes but don't always do a very good job with it!

04/10/2018 - We have been busy creating Land Pages so that all countries will have some basic research resources.

06/16/2017 - Upgraded the website to a new template that will make navigation easier particularly for mobile device users.

10/13/2014 - Upgraded to the latest version of the web software.  Created a new website for the South AmerciaGenWeb Project

March 2014 - Upgraded to the latest version of the software that manages the website.

9/15/2008 - The WorldGenWeb Project is pleased to showcase the new format and tools of the redesigned WorldGenWeb website.

 

3/8/2008 - Charlotte Meyer has stepped down as the AsiaGenWeb and SouthAmericaGenWeb Regional Coordinator - Charlotte has served in this position since 1998.  The Advisory Board thanks her for her service and wish her well in her future endeavors.

3/7/2008 - Mike Jarvis has stepped down as the NorthAmGenWeb Regional Coordinator.  Mike has served in this position since 1997.  The Advisory Board thanks him  for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors.

8/18/2007 - The AfricaGenWeb Project announces the developement of websites for each of the countries.

8/10/2007 - Denise Wells has been appointed as the Regional Coordinator for the CaribbenGenWeb region.

8/1/2007 - Colleen Clements has been appointed as the Regional Coordinator for EastEuropeGenWeb, Nathan Zipfel has been appointed as the Regional Coordinator for the BritishIslesGenWeb.

7/14/2007 - Jan Cortez has stepped down as the Regional Coordinator for the BritishIslesGenWeb, we wish her well and thank her for her service and contributions to the WorldGenWeb Project.

7/6/2006 - Charles Wardell has stepped down as the Regional Coordinator for the EastEuropeGenWeb.  Charles has served in that position since 1997.  The Advisory Board thanks him for his many years of volunteer service.  He has and will continue to be an invaluable member of the WorldGenWeb Project.

7/3/2006 - Monifa Marrero was removed as the CaribbeanGenWeb Project Regional Coordinator as we have been unable to make any contact with her.  We thank her for your service to the WorldGenWeb Project.

The WorldGenWeb Project's Charlotte Meyer (AsiaGenWeb Coordinator) is representing us at the FGS Conference September 12-15 in the Quad Cities/Davenport, Iowa. The WGW has a booth at the conference and Charlotte has been conducting web tours for visitors!

The WorldGenWeb announces the merger of the RootsWeb GenConnect Message Board system into the existing Ancestry.com Message Board network. This merger caused a number of problems for both board administrators and visitors. Most of these problems have been corrected and the board system seems to be up and running without further problems. To visit the Message Boards, please see http://boards.rootsweb.com.
